The Empress Estate was the perfect pacific northwest wedding venue for Marina and Dane’s moody woodland wedding in Washington. This wedding venue was nestled underneath sky tall trees and rich with hues of Burgundy. It beautifully captured that dreamy and magical feeling that Marina & Dane wanted to incorporate in their day. From getting ready in an intimate setting with their families, to the unique details that made the wedding their own, these two celebrated their love in a very personal way.
Marina told me “We have a quirky sense of music, and possibly style as well… We kept it classy and elegant, but with a very moody spin!” And, as it turns out, what she thought she wanted in the first place (a very minimal and simple gown), was not what she fell in love with. That just goes to show you that sometimes you see a picture-perfect wedding and want to recreate it, but it’s 100% okay to change things along the way and go with things that feel more *YOU.* Make things more about you + your love, always, always, always. Oh, and just wait until you see Dane’s dapper suit— definitely one of my favorites this year!!
