This wedding at The Old Schoolhouse in Newberg, Oregon was beautiful. The Old Schoolhouse is the perfect wedding venue if you are wanting something elegant and clean- it gives the perfect balance of vintage and minimalism. The Old Schoolhouse made Jamie & David’s wedding day even more perfect… that is in addition to the llamas and birthdays. 😉
So when these two reached out to me they were so on the fence about doing a wedding in the first place. “Soo, we like to take our time but also weddings aren’t really our jam so we took a while to decide whether we wanted to do “a thing” or just go to the courthouse. Turns out we’re super excited to plan our day and share it with our family and friends who have been there with us through everything.”
Here’s the thing though, even when they decided to have a wedding they knew was important to them! “The most important thing to us is that our wedding reflects our love for each other, but we want it to be a party too. We’ll both be getting ready with friends and family but there is no wedding party, it’ll just be us up there. No matching dresses or suits or anything like that. Everything is pretty simple, or at least as simple as a wedding can be!”
And then of course because they wanted to add in a little bit of fun, This wedding at The Old Schoolhouse couldn’t have been so perfect without the addition of the Wedding Llamas!

About This Wedding Venue:
The Old Schoolhouse is a historical venue in Oregon Wine Country. It is a beautiful event space that is tucked away in the midst of the Willamette Valley in Newberg, Oregon. The location was actually built in 1928! So definitely some amazing historic vibes here. The views are stunning, between orchards and fields, not to mention the epicness of a simple white building against a dark blue sky. You and your guests will fall in love with this space. For those of my couples wanting something close to Portland, this is definitely an option for you. The Old Schoolhouse is actually only about a 45-minute trip over.
