I don’t know that these are the photos we print to put on our walls, but I do know that these are ones we rummage through old albums for when the memories seem to fade in our old minds- ‘how did dad look on my wedding day, what did his hands feel like, he put on my socks first and then my bracelet- I know that much’. There is a tenderness in the eyes of a father who taught his daughter she is more than she knows, more intelligent, more fierce, more beautiful. I’ve written and deleted this caption ten times because I literally can not for the life of me figure out what I’m supposed to say about these two incredible people who inspire me with their love of each other and their wild free life. Who have given me the best kind of friendship there is ever since I’ve moved out here. From exploring the Shanghai tunnels to celebrating birthdays and bachelorette parties to crazy karaoke nights- you guys are the best and I love you so much. I had my first session today after this insane week and I felt like walking in I had scary bags under my eyes and I wasn’t gonna be able to enjoy myself as much as I normally do because my heart felt so heavy thinking about home. But sitting here looking at these photos now I feel like it’s just what I needed. Enjoying the happiness of someone else is beautiful in its own right. These two have been married for about a year and they’ve decorated their home with love and wanted to be photographed in it and honestly looking at these I feel like everyone needs to do an in home session- if only to remember the little things you do together on a normal day. It’s crazy how we take the little things for granted and it makes me so happy to know that they get to have these photos forever, I only wish I thought to do the same for my home back in Panama City 💛 hold the ones you love a little harder today, snuggle them on the couch, climb on the counters and clink your favorite coffee cups together, smile. It’s a beautiful life we have in these little moments, these happy moments. And they go so fast 💛
Normally @bismahzabih runs my social media and I just write the captions because Instagram stresses me tf out but she’s currently stocking up for the hurricane that’s about to hit Florida so I’m stuck doing this myself and I’ve never experienced a more first world problem 😂 so far I’ve instructed her to make sure to take our cat Mumu if our family evacuates and Serena Joy the stray one we take care of and the ducks and raccoons we feed too ... I’ll keep you guys updated on how all that goes- in the meantime I’ve had a whirlwind of a week and I’m catching up with some sneak peeks to send out to all my babes!!!
