This chapter of life is often the one where we realize how quickly time goes by and slowing it down seems impossible. This session is your time for that. It’s to focus on the new memories present in front of you when your littles ones surprise you with their unfolding personalities. It’s to remember the way you hold them against you when they’re small enough to be in your arms. It’s for the softness in the midst of all the crazy that exists in our day to day. My family sessions exist to provide a space for you to be present in your current chapter. My goal isn’t to capture perfect photos of everyone in forced smiles and stiff poses. I seek out honesty and vulnerability. Genuine cuddles with your babies. A moment of relief leaning against your partner taking in the life you’ve built together. Gentle touches paired with deep belly filling laughter. Life is messy and wonderful, so is this moment. Lets photograph your family, your story as you’ve built it. Let’s stop time for this moment and the way you’re molding this life for yourself, for your love, for your little ones.

Bundle with a Maternity or Newborn Session!

I love being able to capture milestones for my couples as they grow their families. If you bundle your maternity session with your family session I will happily offer you a 15% discount as a thank you for letting me be a part of so many special moments of your life! Many times couples will schedule their family session shortly after the little one is born! These in-home newborn sessions allow you to relax and be photographed in a more natural and organic way.

Heirloom Albums

Every session comes with an online gallery of your images at high resolution! However, I am a firm believer that photos should be printed and exist in your home for you to enjoy to their fullest. I absolutely love designing heirloom albums for my moms to be! These heirloom quality albums save these memories for generations to come!

What is the best time for family photos?

Every growing family is going to have their own unique journey and that’s honestly what makes them so beautiful! I am open to photographing you wherever you are at in this story, I truly love documenting every state as it unfolds!

With that being said, if your session is happening in the PNW I would recommend either early fall family photos or late spring family photos, especially if you have little ones!! I always try to photograph during softer light which is either in the morning or near the end of the day when golden hour starts. During these periods the days are a little shorter and the weather is also a little more predictable so it works out great scheduling wise! That being said, if you’re okay with scheduling during the longer days of summer, I adore these sessions!! There’s nothing like that warm golden light during this time of year! Fully anticipate to be prepped with lots of water, sunscreen, and potentially a later bed time for the little ones since sunset can be as late as 8pm!

Do you take holiday family photos? When is the best time to schedule these?

Of course! I love planning holiday sessions with my families! However, the most important thing is to plan these with ample time in mind! I usually take 2-4 weeks to deliver my family sessions and want to make sure that you have your photos in time to order and deliver your cards! My online galleries also provide this option for you so you can do everything through there to streamline the process!

How do you structure family maternity photos?

At the end of the day this session is yours and I want to make sure we are capturing what is most important to you so if you are wanting something in particular please let me know! Ultimately with these sessions my focus is on the family as a whole! I love authentic moments and candid movement and interaction between all of you! And if you are wanting some solo shots of you, we will definitely make that happen as well!!

What is the process of booking you as my photographer for my family photos?

So excited that you connect with my work and want to book your family session! Go ahead and fill out my contact page so that we can get on a call together and get to know each other a bit better!! First we will get an invoice and contract in the books and get you on the calendar! Then we go over all the fun details like locations, outfits, timeline, and I can also suggest hair and makeup artists that are amazing! During this call we will also create a mood board for your session! Are you wanting editorial, soft & cinematic, dreamy, indoors, outdoors? The options are unlimited and we will figure out what fits best for you! The day of our session, I will use our mood board as the inspiration for how I approach the session! 2-4 weeks after the session I will send over a gallery of your fully edited images for you to download! Your online gallery will have the option for you to order canvas, prints, and more! If you would like me to design an heirloom album for you we can start the design process at this time as well!
